On October 11, the 31-year-old, whose fake heist personality and legal troubles became the subject of Netflix’s Inventing Anna, moved into a New York City apartment for a court appointment.
Anna was seen in a stylish black trench coat, matching trousers, and strappy heels. She completed her look with oversized glasses and aBlack scarf.
Anna’s visit comes days after she has been released from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.
He spent more time in prison there than on his visa.
In case you didn’t know about the story of Delvie that led her to this position, the cheater spent several years as a socialite in the 2010s.
She convinced New York’s elite to invest in a members-only art club named after him. She deceived major financial institutions, banks, hotels, and acquaintances to finance her lavish lifestyle by pretending to be the daughter of a German oil tycoon.
But in the end, Delvey’s web of lies was exposed and she was sentenced in 2017 to four years in prison for her financial crimes. After his release from prison on February 2021, he was arrested again. This time he was sentenced to stay in the US longer than his visa.
Delvey was moved to a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, where she was staying until her most recent release last week.
Upon Anna Delvey’s exit from prison, Delvey’s attorney, John Sandweg, confirmed that immigration custody was no longer necessary for Anna, “although Anna is still under house arrest.”
“She will continue to face deportation proceedings and Ana Delvey’s release will be monitored by ICE and the state of New York.
Anna Delavi said that as long as she fights her exile, she will stay in New York.
“I’m just really, really happy about it. That’s exactly what I wanted. I’m looking forward to finally having more freedom.”
“I thought very well about how I felt about everything. It wouldn’t be fair to run through these things in one day.
Anna Delvey says it is a process, the way I have tried to look at the experience, I have to learn from it, who I am today because of the decisions I made in the past.
When The New York Times asked Delvy, “What are you most excited to do now after you’re out?” Delvey simply replied “Finding my way.”
