Modern English attended The Tonight Show to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their single hit “I Melt With You”.
The group offered live-action renditions of ’80s numbers, which upon release became the band’s most successful track.

The band was part of a late-night show as part of the ’80s Show, which also featured Jennifer Beals, Lee Thompson, and Ralph Macchio.
Modern English band After the Snow is on tour in the US this year to celebrate the anniversary of their superhit tour, and most recently to Buffalo, New York to celebrate the third leg of the trek.
The group had initially planned to tour in 2020 when plans had to be canceled due to the pandemic. But this year rescheduled its COVID-19-postponed 2020 US tour.
In 2020 Kovind-19, Modern English recorded the lockdown version of “I Melt With You”. The song was recorded for the benefit of the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA).
“We were all in our homes in the UK, except [guitarist] Daniel [Jakubovic] who was in Los Angeles,” frontman Robbie Gray explained.
“We decided to record ‘I melt with you to put a smile on people’s faces,” the Modern English group said.
We are very happy with how much the song is being liked and we thought that the lockdown version will bring a smile to people’s faces in this difficult time.
